How I Became a Fan...

 

In the summer of 2013 I was watching the end of Poltergeist II: The Other Side. While watching it this little blonde haired, blue eyed girl caught my eye. I thought she was the most adorable, sweet and lovely little girl I had ever seen. However, I didn't know her name.

 

The next day I was on the internet, I decided to look up the film I had seen the previous night. I scrolled through the credits, then I noticed the girl who I saw in the film, her name was Heather O'Rourke. Once again I thought she was adorable and so sweet, I read about her, then I noticed she had passed away in 1988. This came as a shock to me, it upset me. I looked up all her acting credits to see what she had starred in, I thought she was very talented. Eventually, I had read her whole biography at least two or three times, I wanted to find out as much as I could about Heather.

 

One evening I decided to watch the original Poltergeist, thinking it would be good and I would get to see Heather. I thought it was a very good film, I didn't find it too scary, though. It was a brilliant film, by this time I was a huge fan of Heather. Eventually, I went out shopping with my friend, in a shop I spotted Poltergeist III, I almost started crying, I had wanted to see it for so long now. However, I read that they had re-shoot the ending and a stunt double had to replace Heather, as she died before the new ending could be filmed.
